Our Commitment

At StudioTer Yoga, we strive to provide exceptional yoga services and customer satisfaction. We understand that circumstances may arise requiring cancellations or refunds. This policy outlines our refund procedures to ensure fairness for all parties involved.

Drop-In Classes

Cancellation Window

4+ hours before class: Full refund or class credit
Less than 4 hours: No refund, but class credit may be issued for emergencies

  • Cancellations must be made through our booking system, by phone, or email
  • No-shows will not receive refunds or credits
  • Emergency situations (medical, family) will be considered on a case-by-case basis
  • Weather-related cancellations by the studio result in full credit or refund

Class Packages

Refund Eligibility

Within 7 days of purchase: Full refund if no classes have been used
After 7 days: Prorated refund based on unused classes (minus 15% administrative fee)
After 50% usage: No refund available

Package Terms

  • Class packages are valid for the period stated at time of purchase (typically 3 months)
  • Expired packages cannot be refunded or extended except for documented medical reasons
  • Packages may be transferred to immediate family members with notification
  • Lost or stolen package records can be recovered with proper identification

Monthly Memberships

Cancellation Policy

30 days written notice required for membership cancellation
No refund for partial months unless for documented medical reasons
Final month will be prorated if medical documentation provided

Membership Guidelines

  • Memberships renew automatically unless cancelled with proper notice
  • Temporary holds available for medical reasons or extended travel (max 3 months per year)
  • Membership benefits are non-transferable
  • Returned payment fees apply for declined transactions

Private Sessions

Cancellation Requirements

24 hours notice: Full refund or rescheduling
Less than 24 hours: 50% charge applies
No-show: Full session charge

  • Private session packages follow same refund structure as class packages
  • Instructor illness results in full refund or rescheduling at no charge
  • Sessions must be used within 6 months of purchase
  • In-home sessions require 48-hour cancellation notice

Workshops and Special Events

Workshop Refund Timeline

7+ days before: Full refund minus $10 processing fee
3-7 days before: 50% refund
Less than 3 days: No refund, but credit toward future workshop

  • Workshop credits expire 12 months from issue date
  • If StudioTer cancels a workshop, full refunds are provided
  • Minimum enrollment required; participants notified if workshop is cancelled
  • Workshop materials and handouts are non-refundable once distributed

Medical and Emergency Exceptions

We understand that medical emergencies and serious life events can disrupt your yoga practice. We may provide exceptions to our standard refund policy in the following circumstances:

  • Serious injury or illness preventing yoga practice (doctor's note required)
  • Pregnancy complications requiring activity restrictions (medical documentation required)
  • Family emergencies requiring extended absence (documentation may be requested)
  • Job relocation more than 50 miles from studio (proof of relocation required)

Medical exceptions are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require appropriate documentation. Please contact us as soon as possible to discuss your situation.

Refund Process

How to Request a Refund

  1. Contact us by email at info@studioter.com or call
  2. Provide your name, contact information, and reason for refund request
  3. Include any required documentation (medical notes, etc.)
  4. Allow 5-7 business days for review and processing

Processing Times

  • Credit card refunds: 3-5 business days to appear on statement
  • Cash refunds: Available immediately during business hours
  • Studio credits: Applied to account within 24 hours
  • Check refunds: 7-10 business days (if requested)

Studio Credits

In many cases, we offer studio credits as an alternative to cash refunds. Studio credits offer the following benefits:

  • No expiration date (unlike class packages)
  • Can be used for any studio services (classes, workshops, retail)
  • Transferable to immediate family members
  • Often processed faster than cash refunds
